We couldn’t be happier with Kingsmead. The staff are incredibly caring, friendly and professional, and it’s clear how much they genuinely care about every single child. They help children grow in confidence with plenty of fun and engaging activities to keep the children learning and developing.
The nursery provides a lovely, safe and welcoming environment, they have the children outside as much as possible and their grounds are wonderful, lots of outdoor space, play equipment and places to explore.
The meals are cooked fresh on site by the wonderful cook, Debs. The children are fond of her and she is always happy to tweak meals to suit the children.
I occasionally called to check on my child and I was never made to feel like I was bothering them, they always gave me the time to ask questions and check in. They sometimes even called me first to let me know they were ok.
I would highly recommend Kingsmead to anyone looking for a caring, supportive and enjoyable place for their child. Everyone who joins Kingsmead will become part of the family.  E.S. August 2026

A wonderful nursery, our son has attended from 14 months til ready for school. Great range of activities for the children, friendly, supportive and professional staff, good organisation and communication, staff always available to discuss anything as needed, with photos of activities uploaded every week. The staff go above and beyond to ensure kiddos feel safe and included. Really friendly approachable and communicative key workers who are understanding of requests for helping your kids settle or learnbif struggling in any way. Mine has been all the way through to preschool here and always talks about the staff with such joy.
Very quick to respond to emails too.
They include a bunch of really fun stuff through the year like sports day, outsourced sports coaches and outdoor teaching. On a couple of occasions mines been on outings.
The grounds are really good for outdoor play.

I had two children go through Kingsmead nursery, from 1 year old to school age, and I am so pleased that I chose them. The staff are lovely and there's a really friendly caring vibe, much nicer than some of the larger settings in my opinion. The activities they do and opportunities for playing outside, doing Wild Club, going to visit the lakes and optional tennis are all great. The food is also a great hit, my children loved it and I was happy it was nutritious and home-made. M.S. September 2026


I couldn't recommend Kingsmead Day Nursery highly enough, my daughter had a fabulous time there from the age of 11 months to when she finished for school. The staff are amazing and generally care. I could feel their warmth and pride in the kids was unwavering. The playground and activities are brilliant.  The food is great, Debs the cook is a wonder and got my daughter to eat such a variety of meals. Wild club and tennis were a particular favourite for my little girl, but she genuinely just really loved being at the nursery and was taught so many skills and lesson that made her school ready, including independence and so importantly, kindness. Kingsmead is a fantastic nursery with amazing staff. My son has had the best experience here since starting at 11 months old. The outdoor space is wonderful, and he's loved Wild Club and tennis each week. Healthy food, great activities, and such caring staff. We'll really miss this nursery. K.B. September 2025

As my daughter is about to start her next chapter at school, I cannot express how sad I am that we are leaving Kingsmead behind. From the very first visit at the age of 10 months they have gone above and beyond to help nuture our child, from the healthy lunch and tea options, to providing a fun learning  environment.
The setting is great with lots of outdoor space, which is great when they offer wild club and tennis.
With the offering of a get together once a year in the summer and a nativity at christmas is fantastic.
My daughter has excelled, gained confidence, hit education milestones all because of the fantastic staff who genuinely care about your child.

Amazing nursery, excellent staff and the kids are always entertained, cared for and flourish.   Communication is brilliant and you are allowed to help with what your child likes with focus weeks.

I have been really impressed with everything about Kingsmead. My daughter joined when she was 3 and has been there for a year. She settled in with all the staff really quickly and has grown in confidence speaking to adults. She always talks about the activities that she has done and really enjoys "wild  club" days and the outside areas. The staff are all well qualified and seem very happy in their roles and are genuinely engaged with and take interest in the children. I have been really impressed with how well my daughter has picked up identifying letters and numbers and how she has been able to write her name from quite a young age which indicates the time and support staff put into individuals. The outside space in the nursery is great and lots of different areas for children to explore. I think the nursery benefits from having a slightly smaller group in the preschool so children get that extra attention. The management team are very accessible and organised with good communication. I could not find a nursery better for my daughter! The care and support she receives is amazing and she is thriving at nursery! The outdoor space is amazing and I love seeing pictures and videos of her having so much fun. The staff are always very welcoming and will always make time for me when I have  any queries to discuss.
