Hours and Fees

Kingsmead Day Nursery is open 51 weeks/year, not including bank holidays. 

Full day                      8.00am to 6.00pm
Half day                     8.30am to 1.00pm or 1.30pm to 6.00pm

Our daily rates April 2026 - March 2027:

Full Day  £75.00
AM 8.30am-1pm  £45.00
PM 1.30pm-6pm  £40.00

Our fees are invoiced at the start of each term. We do not charge for Christmas closure and the 8 regular annual Bank Holidays.

Kingsmead Day Nursery is registered  to redeem Childcare vouchers and Tax-free Childcare (TFC). 

In England, childcare funding entitlement depends on your child’s age, your working status, and your household income.

    All 3- and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of universal funded childcare per week.
    Eligible working parents can receive up to 30 hours of funded childcare for 3- and 4-year-olds.
    From 9 months of age, children of eligible working parents can also access up to 30 hours of funding.
    2-year-olds and younger children may qualify for 15 hours of funded childcare if their family receives certain benefits or additional support.
  
This funding is provided by Hampshire County Council and starts from the first school term after the child’s qualifying birthday. Families can choose to spread the funding across 51 weeks to help keep childcare costs consistent throughout the year. More information can be found here.

Funded days are subject to a charge for meals:
Morning snack £1, Lunch £4.50, Afternoon snack £1, Tea £3.50, Reduced meal charge for part funded days £2.50.
