We take mealtimes very seriously at Kingsmead. The experience of sitting down and eating a meal together creates an environment where the children have shown to be prepared to try new foods, and the activities during the day help to improve their appetite. Our parents often ask for our cook's recipes as the children eat so well at nursery. The children’s meals at the nursery are nutritious, varied and freshly-cooked each day on the premises and comply with each child’s dietary and religious requirements. We use fresh ingredients in our meals and provide freshly delivered milk. The children are provided with snacks, lunch and high tea. A snack-box is available all day which includes breadsticks, rice cakes and fresh fruit, for example peaches, nectarines, satsumas, pineapple, bananas and apples.
