Hours and Fees

Kingsmead Day Nursery is open 51 weeks/year, not including bank holidays. 

Full day                      8.00am to 6.00pm
Half day                     8.30am to 1.00pm or 1.30pm to 6.00pm


Our daily rates up to end of March 2025:

0-2 years

Full Day  £68.50
AM 8.30am-1pm  £41.00      
PM 1.30pm-6pm  £36.00

2-3 years

PM 1.30pm-6pm  £35.50

3-5 years

Our fees are worked out over the full year or term and averaged over the invoice period. We do not charge for Christmas closure and the 8 regular annual Bank Holidays.

Kingsmead Day Nursery is registered  to redeem Childcare vouchers and Tax-free Childcare (TFC). 

The Early Years Education Universal funding entitlement is 15 hours for all children over the age of 3 years old. There is a further 15 hours Extended entitlement, totaling 30 hours, for eligible parents. The 2-year old funding is also available for eligible families from April 2024 and 9months+ funding from September 2024. The funding is provided by Hampshire County Council and is available from the first term following their qualifying age/birthday. The funding can be stretched over 51 weeks to make the fees equal throughout the year. More information can be found here.

Funded days are subject to a charge for meals, snacks and consumables. From September: Full Day £10.00, AM £6.00 & PM £4.00. 
Stretched funding 11.17 hours/week £11.00/week & 22.34 hours/week £22.00/week.
